Another two Bangladeshi Athletes drop out of the Rio Olympics
Bangladeshi Athlete Aireen Akter came 17th out of 24 in the Womens 100m Athletic Preliminaries in Rio Olympic Games with a time of 12.99 seconds. The fastest athlete of this round is Charlotte Wingfield of Malta with a time of 11.86 seconds and the slowest athlete was Karitakee Tewaaki from Kiribati with a time of 14.70 seconds.
The next round of the Women 100m Athletics is on Saturday 13th August at 3:29am but our Bangladeshi athlete Aireen has not made it into the next round.
Bangladeshi Athlete Sonia Aktar came 69th out of 88 in the Womens 50m freestyle swimming heats in Rio Olympic games with a time of 29.99 seconds. The fastest athlete of this round is Pernille Blume of Denmark with a time of 24.23 seconds and the slowest athlete was Bunturabie Effuah Rashida Jalloh from Sierra Leone with a time of 39.93 seconds.
Semi Finals of the Womens 50m freestyle will be held on Saturday 13th August at 2:59am with 16 athletes going through. Unfortunately for Bangladesh Sonia has not made it to the Semi Finals.
