Mens Freestyle Swimming hopes end for Md Mahfizur Rahman

Bangladeshi Swimmer Md Mahfizur Rahman’s hopes of winning Olympic medal in Rio ends as he drops out after the heat round.

During the initial standings he came 54th out of 85 Athletes with a 50m swimming time of 23.92 seconds. The fastest from this round was Andriy Hovorov from Ukraine with a time of 21.49 seconds and the slowest was Frantz Dorsainvil from Haiti with a time of 30.86 seconds.

Mahfizur took part in Heat 5 and came 5th out of 8 swimmers with a time of 23.92 seconds. The fastest from this heat was Abdoul Khadre Niane from Senegal with a time of 23.66 seconds and slowest was Dulguun Batsaikhan from Mongolia with a time of 24.90 seconds.

Semi Final is on Friday 12th August at 2:03am with 16 athletes making it to this round and the Final will be on Saturday 13th August at 2:44am.
